The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is alerting consumers of a recall involving certain Dorel Juvenile Group’s Maxi-Cosi Mico infant child restraints.

Dorel is recalling the child restraints because of attachment difficulties between the infant carrier and the base. If the carrier is improperly mounted to the base, the child could be injured in the event of a crash. The affected models include the Maxi-Cosi Mico infant child restraint systems, models 22-371 and 22-372, and Maxi-Cosi Mico infant child restraint system – base only, model 22-515, produced from July 2007 through February 17, 2008.

Dorel will replace the Mico base free of charge. (more…)

The new S8 from the house of Audi will be presented to the world at the Frankfurt Auto Show sometime this year end. It will be a successor of the Audi 7 series and the all new S8 will not just get a visual facelift, but loads of change in the interiors too.

As per Audi’s Chief Designer Stefan Sielaff, the 2010 Audi S8 will showcase sharper and stronger body in a trendy design and high class interiors, like never before.

Sure thing, the present models as well as their predecessors had a rather pleasing appearance to the eyes, and even this 2010 S8 looks pretty similar, but little does it unveil anything about the innovative chassis technology being incorporated within. What’s more, the all new S8 is not just stronger, but even lighter than those any other steel structuring versions ever built till date.

Kia Soul
2010 Kia Soul

The first thing I thought when I saw this car was; Shoe Box Car! While the Kia Soul looks a lot like the Toyota Scion (another shoe box car) I also think that it looks like the Nissan Cube (That even sounds like a shoe box car) but has many differences from them both.

First lets look at the facts of the Soul. The Kia Soul has four different trims, the Soul, the Soul! (Exclaim), the Soul Sport, and the Soul+. The Soul and the Soul+ have a 1.6-liter engine. Soul! and the Soul Sport both have the 2.0-liter, all being in-line four-cylinder, aluminum block engines. All four of the trims are 161.6 inches (13.5 feet) long and come with hydraulic, power assisted vacuum brakes.
