Another great year of car shows is in the works! We’re looking forward to attending some of our old favorites again as well as stopping by a few new ones. One show we will be looking forward to is coming up this month, the 2011 Silicon Valley International Auto Show. While most of our shows are classic car shows this one highlights the newest models currently on the market. If you are wanting to get a preview of what your going to be seeing in the next model year or in the upcoming years this is the show to see. Quickly following the International Car show in San Jose will be the always hot Sacramento Autorama in February. This ones got it all, specialty vehicles, classic cars, motorcycles, muscle cars, hot rods, and other fine custom cars.

California MilleHere is a little different type of show for you car buffs! The California Mille is a salute to the Italian Mille Miglia race which means “Thousand Mile”. Event starts with a car show to show off all of the contestant at San Francisco’s Nob Hill on the 25th of April. There will be a second show at the end of the event at Sausalito on April 29th.

The cars take on some of the back roads of California between the two shows giving bystanders a parade of about 70 historic race cars along the way.

So, even if you’re not near one of the two cities where the shows will be, you still have the opportunity to check out the cars as they drive through the towns on California Highway 1.

It’s a new year and it’s time to start lining up the Northern California Car shows again!. Last year was a great year for car shows. Our list started in February last year with 3 great shows one in Sacramento: the Autorama and two in San Francisco: Wekfest and the Rod, Custom & Motorcycle show.

This year is shaping up to be another great year! January started off with the Silicon Valley International Auto Show on January 7-10 and will once again have the Autorama, Wekfest, and Rod, custom & Motorcycle shows in February.

What made our list great last year were the many shows that sent in information and pictures so we could add them to the list. We hope to get another awesome showing this year!. If you know of any Northern California car shows that didn’t make it to our list last year, contact the organizer and remind them to send us their information.

In addition to Northern California Car Shows, this year we are starting a new list of Southern California Car Shows. So if you’re in the southern part of the state be sure to chick it out.

We have planned an exciting weekend of activities for the 2009 Presidio of San Francisco Concours d’Elegance. This inaugural event will celebrate the marques of Packard & Bentley.

Since its inception, the Concours d’ Elegance has provided an opportunity for its attendees to experience automotive history in a purely physical perspective. By placing a Concours against the backdrop of the fabled San Francisco Presidio, this inaugural Concours d’ Elegance combines history of the motorcar with one of California’s truly significant landmarks.

In the tradition of a true Concours d’Elegance, The Presidio of San Francisco Concours will bring motorcar enthusiasts together to enjoy a grand automobile show on the green at the Presidio MAIN POST. This truly spectacular venue is nestled in one of the most beautiful public spaces in the country: the Presidio of San Francisco, a national park characterized by many wooded areas, hills, and scenic vistas overlooking the famed Golden Gate Bridge and the San Francisco Bay.

To kick-off the fabulous Concours weekend on Friday night, Bentley of San Francisco will host the Bentley Bash a fete for Concours entrants at its showroom on Van Ness. The weekend of events will continue with the Concours Raduno at Americano Restaurant on Saturday night.

The Concours itself will be held on Sunday, July 19, 2009 and will combine not only one-hundred years of motorcars on display, but also a Cigar & Cognac Lounge, fashion show, gourmet food and wine tasting. Also special to this event will be both green car and vintage military vehicles displays.
