Sad to see another Redding area car dealership closing their doors. Helser Chevrolet Cadillac of Red Bluff, about 30 mile South of Redding is another of a long string of car dealerships that has closed.
Helser Chevrolet was a full service Chevrolet and Cadillac Dealership located at 545 Adobe Rd in Red Bluff Ca. According to the Better Business Bureau, Helser Original Business Start Date was January of 1959 and was incorporated in January of 1991. The body shop also had a DBA of Inter City Body and Paint.
This closing came in the wake of yet another long time Red Bluff dealership closing last year in April of 2009, Red Bluff Ford Mercury.
The manner of the closing has also caused a great deal of problems for the customers. The Helser service department closed up with vehicles still in the bays.
No Doubt the loss of these two dealerships will have a very large impact on Red Bluff and its surrounding communities, with both the loss of jobs in the businesses themselves as well as the loss of jobs in the supporting industries. Red bluff also has to deal with the large drop in tax revenue caused by the closing of these two dealerships.
The latest closure leaves Growney Motors as the last New car dealership in Red Bluff, so most people will likely be turning North to Redding or South to Corning when looking to purchase a new car.
The closure of local New car dealerships also has an affect on many of the used car lots in the area. trade-ins from the New car dealerships often end up being sold in the local used car lots, leaving many lots turning to other sources for cars to sell.

Used cars normally propose second hand cars at very small selling price like 60% off their brand new selling price. Some probably 5 to 6 years old but they are suitably maintained and their qualities are still well conserved. One benefit of buying a used car is that you can own top of the line high class cars like Audi, Rolls Royce or Bentley and Lexus at very reasonable rates. These used car sale are normally in good working condition and very dependable for long term use because they are fine engineered and designed to last for many years.
