The new S8 from the house of Audi will be presented to the world at the Frankfurt Auto Show sometime this year end. It will be a successor of the Audi 7 series and the all new S8 will not just get a visual facelift, but loads of change in the interiors too.

2010 Audi S8
As per Audi’s Chief Designer Stefan Sielaff, the 2010 Audi S8 will showcase sharper and stronger body in a trendy design and high class interiors, like never before.
Sure thing, the present models as well as their predecessors had a rather pleasing appearance to the eyes, and even this 2010 S8 looks pretty similar, but little does it unveil anything about the innovative chassis technology being incorporated within. What’s more, the all new S8 is not just stronger, but even lighter than those any other steel structuring versions ever built till date.
Equipped with the elegant aluminum space frames as well as exterior panels, and a strong 3-dimensional theme, the 2010 S8 will be an exclusive display of the clear top down approach. Coming to the tech specs of the car, the futuristic S8 will be made available in the shorter as well as longer wheelbase designs, and it will be based on the modular longitude architecture, which has been incorporated in A-series as well as Q-series models in past.
The latest Audi S8 images suggest that the front axle would be pushed a bit forward giving it a different look, but it is not yet sure whether the vehicle will be featured in an all wheel drive or just the front wheel drive!
The latest S8 is expected to target the emerging Audi customer base in Chinese as well as Russian market, apart from the existing American and European market.
Considering the engine power and other features, the 4.2 liter turbo diesel V8 and the 4.2 liter V8 gasoline engine will be the driving force behind the 2010 S8, equipped along with the ZF sourced 8-speed automatic transmission.
It is basically the same engine configuration that’ll be incorporated in the new BMW 7 Series models as well. Apart from the 4.2 liter turbo diesel V8, the S8 will also be made available in the 3.0 liter turbo diesel V6 engine, as well as the 3.0 liter V6 (currently used in S4 and the A6 models). But, the biggest attraction would be the super charged turbo diesel V12 version, which looked extremely impressive in the current Q7 model.
Looking at the prominent changes in the tech specs, the following specs would be the most noticeable about the 2010 Audi S8:
- ZF sourced 8-speed automatic Transmission
- 600 horse power Capacity
- Turbo Charged V10 Engine
And that’s not the end of the story – apart from all this Audi also plans on presenting special exclusive interiors, larger screen architecture at center, and the latest Multi Media Interface too!
But, you’ll have to wait and watch until the end of next year, because the Audi S8 is expected to hit the market by the end of 2010 or so.
